The Next Chapter

Frequently asked questions What is the relationship between TNC and Peer Group Partners (PGP)? This is entirely a matter for the group. The first group has had a couple of occasions when we have got together with partners. Where does the money go? The fee is paid to the group chair and is their income. A small portion of the fee is paid by the chair to TNC to cover training and promotion Does the group socialise outside the group meetings? The idea for Peer Group Partners (www.pgpartners.co.uk) was germinated in James Benn’s TNC Group and a number of members in that group have invested in PGP. All members of TNC are automatically members of PGP and receive all the benefits of that membership. The essence of TNC is the group, the depth of interaction between the members and the continuity of membership. What sort of issues do members bring to the group? Anything and everything! Every aspect of our wellbeing – physical, financial and emotional. What is always true is that we learn as much from the discussion of other peoples’ issues as we do from our own. TNC is owned by the four partners listed on our Who We Are page – Graham Thompson, Douglas Horman, Pat Coates and Norman Wood Who owns The Next Chapter? Membership follows a meeting with the group chair. Those attracted to TNC tend to have the following characteristics: openness, curiosity, a determination to fulfil their potential, to be lifelong learners, and to have recently graduated from full-time employment or are hoping to shortly. Who joins? What does it cost? Members pay a one-off joining fee of £295 and an annual subscription of £1900. Members are also responsible for their share of the venue costs. Sometimes we bring in an outside speaker – if there is a charge for this then it is shared among the group.
